Let's introduce you to our 2020 Imperial Equestrian Team riders

Here at Imperial equestrian, we are very lucky to have a wonderful Team of Sponsered Talented young Dressage riders. 

Izzy Chaplin, Maisie Hodge, Juliette Linsday, Betsy Smetham and Harriette Williams. Age ranging from 15 years old to 23 years old and all compete at different levels of British dressage.

Izzy works as an accountant and fits riding in around her full-time job, often riding early in the morning before work. At the end of last year, Izzy retired her GP rider on Coral Inghams Vincette II from the competition, they had a very successful 2019 Winning the Petplan Inter II national title as well as coming 3rd at Hickstead CDI U25's GP. Maisie is a 20-year rider who is based in Gloucestershire and a former student at Hartpury College. You can't miss her on her impressive 9-year-old 18h grey gelding Garant H, fondly known as Big G. They have had much success together during their partnership.  Maisie and Garant had an amazing year last year, with qualifying for the British dressage national championships and coming 3rd in the Medium silver class. Maisie also has a 4-year-old gelding by Dreamboy who is backed last year and will be bringing him back into work after the winter. Juliette is 18 years old and comes from Kent. After successfully finishing her school education, Juliette is taking a gap year before starting university this autumn. Juliette rides her own Prince May the  First, whom she has competed successfully from BD Elementry up to International Junior Rider level, this year teamed with being a working pupil at the Thurman -Bakers yard in Oxfordshire, she is leasing the International GP horse Highcliffe Apollo, the partnership is really bonding and they have already had some amazing results. 2020 has kicked off to an amazing start with Juliette winning 3 regional titles in the Addington manor British dressage winter regionals. Betsy 15 years old from Kent, juggles school life with riding her 9-year-old Pony Amber, known as Jack. They compete at FEI pony level and last year they competed successfully for Team GB on 3 occasions. They are hoping to do the same again this year. Betsy has been an active member of the British dressage Southern region as well as the under 21's dressage group. This is going to be an interesting year for Betsy with her GCSE's as well as hopefully continuing with the international FEI circuit during 2020. Harriette is 23 years old dressage rider from Suffolk, she runs her own livery and training yard near Newmarket. Harriette has a lot of experience and started off competing at the Pony Europeans and working her way up the levels. In 2019 Hariette and her main ride 10-year-old Creto, became Advance medium regional champions and then went on to come 4th at the British Dressage National Championships in very strong company.
